Doing Business Responsibly – Mythics, Inc. Makes Competitors “Green” With Envy

Virginia Beach, VA June 2008 – Mythics, Inc., North America’s largest Oracle value-added reseller and strategic professional services company, officially announced its contribution to the betterment of the planet. Now a “green” company, Mythics has embraced the idea that doing business with concern for the environment is a commitment everyone should make.
Beginning with simple changes within the office, the shift to an environmentally conscious company introduced organic foods and beverages in the kitchen, and soon moved to the replacement of energy-draining standard light bulbs to more eco-friendly fluorescent tubes. Completing the initial phase, Mythics implemented a full recycling program, including the use of recycled office materials.  Also cutting down on waste, disposable products previously used, were replaced with reusable items such as cups, mugs, and dishes.

With more earth friendly moves in store, Mythics continues to venture onward both in business and environmentalism.  Scott Poteet, marketing manager for Mythics, Inc, states  “It would be false if I said we didn’t want to change the world.  It’s really what going ‘green’ is about.  We’re a responsible company, and the best at what we do with our business. It only makes sense that we lead the way in being better to the planet too.”

With the project overseen by Poteet and the company’s executive directors, Mythics has initiated a full-scale green initiative, including a corporate facelift.  The concept of ‘going green’ was not only a decision based on the environment, but also in Mythics’ corporate identity as well. “If we’re going to be a ‘green’ company, it only makes sense that we display that in our branding efforts and logo.” Scott LaRose, president of Mythics said with regard to switching the company’s identity from blue to green.

Mythics unveiled its new corporate identity this month at a conference held to define their upcoming fiscal year.
